Baking powder biscuits and bacon. I usully make biscuits the normal way, then split them in half and fold a piece of bacon in. But... why put the cooked bacon into the biscuit dough?
Turns out it's a really good idea, particularly if you have a couple of pieces of bacon that are a little over-done for your tastes. The moisture from the biscuit softens the bacon, and the richness of the bacon gets incorporated into the biscuit.
